___ANOTHER animation with flowers in it?!?___
Yes!
(And not even including a third flower animation for a client.)
And alas, more flowers that have tons of little petals.
Clovers… Roses… Carnations… Dandelions…
They are my most favorite sorts of flowers. Very nostalgic.
Painful to animate, but never a regret.
Oh, I animated a cat last month! I literally saw it outside the window and wanted to see how fast I could animate that cat from memory.
The cat animation took about 2 hours to make. It was refreshing to make something simple and quick after just finishing the lusciously detailed rendered flower bunch (which took about 3 months).
It honestly made me consider dedicating time toward making small animations every week or every other week.
Which is what I tried next with the clovers dancing in the wind…

A first look behind the next animation developments.
Clovers dancing in the wind. My vision is 6 clovers with their own personality in their colors, shapes and movements.
Originally was going to be simple like the cat animation. But as I worked, I saw too much potential in the idea to keep small in only a few weeks.
I made 1 clover… then I wanted 6… then I wanted all of them to look and act uniquely from each other.
That’s how it usually is, I’m either picky about what idea to go for and or picky about the execution of my chosen idea. Not so good for proficiency, but it leaves very good things behind.
But what’s the point of proficiency if I can’t make what I need to make well?
(That cat was truly a little miracle for me, a rare direct flash of inspiration turned to art.)
I can talk more about inspirations later, but for now, I’m announcing that clovers are my next fully rendered animation project!
